oreoluwa ahmeed,,, —

Oreoluwa Ahmeed is a multidisciplinary artist, working primarily between painting, printmaking and moving image, all underlined with text and poetry. Their work critically examines the nonsensical nature of existing within such an irrational and paradoxical universe. Exploring the idea of appreciation despite chaos, their diaristic approach to depicting their reflection on the ‘little things’, provokes audiences to embrace reality with all its quirks. Their work playfully confronts rationality and questions convention in order to remove the constraints on existence. Oreoluwa investigates their own life and surroundings, publicly sharing their journey, in hopes of encouraging new mindsets for both themselves, as well as their audience.
